I want to use this blazon of coupling to patch an underground pipe that goes to a hose bibb in my back yard. Since the piping is under 12 inches of soil, information technology won't move. The directions seem to indicate that during installation, you have to be able to move one side of the cut piping enough so you tin slip the coupling over the pipe. Practice you take to dig out the pipage far enough and so you can move it? Or can you cut out a section of the pipe wide enough to fit the coupling in but narrow enough to provide a seal in both pinch fittings?
